Damir Doma Fall 2009.

Recently discussing this collection one individual stated they were ‘tired of the drappy look’. Clearly he/she doen’t understand that when looking at such collections of this sort, it is necessary a different perspective. These garment are not about trends or a specific “look”. They require much deeper thought because in such collections like the one pictured here is where fashion truly becomes art. It is about the designer as an artist, being able to portray  ideas and views through matter of garments. Such designers deserve applaud for there jobs are twice as hard. The task of being able to state ones perspective regardless of anything is one very hard to achieve, in today’s world at least. This is non-commercial Fashion, and perhaps the best fashion of all.
